He served as a trial lawyer and as Assistant Director for Advertising Practices at the Federal Trade Commission before joining the American Advertising Federation where he served as president and CEO, from 1992 - 2008. Currently, he serves as President for the Institute for Advertising Ethics. Wally was inducted into the Advertising Hall of Fame(R) in 2009. Andrew Susman, President Previously, Susman co-founded and served as the CEO of Studio One Networks. Studio One has been called "one of, if not the pioneer, in the field of digital content marketing services," now a $200 billion industry. Before its acquisition, Procter & Gamble cited Studio One at the Federal Trade Commission as the gold standard in consumer transparency. Susman was tutored in Socratic and Aristotelian Ethics by J.L. Ackrill at Oxford University. Susman lives mainly in Manhattan and the Midwest. Linda Thomas Brooks, Founding Executive Linda Thomas Brooks has spent her career at the intersection of media, marketing and technology. She is currently the CEO of the Public Relations Society of America. Linda's past roles include a four-year term as the President and CEO of the Association of Magazine Media, EVP of General Motors MediaWorks, and President of Ingenuity Media at the Martin Agency. Meet the IAE Ethics Fellows Jacob Brooks, Ethics Fellow Jacob Brooks recently graduated from George Mason University with a degree in Religious Studies. During college, he spent time working in enrollment marketing, and research analysis. In addition to the IAE, he works in the George Mason University Office of Admissions. Sarae Perez, Ethics FellowSarae Perez is a Client Specialist at New York Interconnect and previously worked as an Accounting Intern at Assured Guaranty.
